Specialist – Social Policy

About the Role

As a Specialist: Social Policy, you will provide expert research and policy analysis across a range of social policy areas — including education and training, labour market economics, social protection, migration, health economics, and workplace safety and health.
Your work will ensure that business interests remain central to South Africa’s social policy development, with the BUSA position effectively represented in engagements with government, organised labour, and other social partners (including at Nedlac).
You will also coordinate the BUSA Standing Committee on Social Policy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Labour Economics, Public Policy, Economics, Health Economics, or Education and Training Policy.
• A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a related policy or research role.
• Management experience: Not required
