South Africa’s government has made clear statements of intent to limit its CO2 emissions as South Africa is currently the most carbon-intensive economy of all G20 countries. Decarbonising will require a detailed strategy that is both ambitious and realistically achievable. That’s why RES4Africa Foundation, in collaboration with AFRY Management Consulting, produced a report outlining a Possible Decarbonisation Roadmap for South Africa.
The study results and recommendations will be discussed during a dedicated webinar on December 7th, 09:30-11:15 (CET), which will be also the occasion to discuss the outcomes of COP26 and the key opportunities and challenges resulting from South Africa’s decarbonisation energy transition.
