Dear Traders,
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) invites you to our Excise Duties Webinar, which aims to give Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) knowledge on the indirect tax imposed on the consumption of selected goods. Excise duties are imposed mostly on high-volume daily consumable products (e.g. petroleum products, alcohol and tobacco products) as well as certain selected high-value items (e.g. electronic equipment and cosmetics).
The collection of excise duties ensure a constant stream of revenue for the State, with a secondary function of discouraging consumption of certain harmful products.
The knowledge shared in this session will make it easier for SMMEs to comply with their domestic tax obligations in line with the Customs & Excise Act No.91 of 1964.
As an important stakeholders, please join us, and also extend this invitation to other interested parties.
