Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) joins scores of South Africans in paying tribute to struggle activist, ANC veteran and government communicator who was spokesperson for the Deputy President, Ronnie Mamoepa. “The business community fondly remembers Ronnie as a warm, capable and honourable professional, who built bridges. His sense of duty, patriotism and inclusivity knew no bounds”, says Tanya Cohen, BUSA CEO.
“We would like to pass our heartfelt condolences to his wife Audrey and his family, his friends and comrades. His passing away is a deep loss to the nation as a whole. We will miss his professional candour and his sense of humour”, adds Cohen.
Ronnie Mamoepa was an excellent interlocutor on behalf of Government. In his passing South Africa has lost a model civil servant who embodied the values required to truly do service for the nation.
