Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) is proud to announce that our Chief Executive Officer, Mr Khulekani Mathe, has been nominated to receive the African Leadership Award for Excellence in Economic Policy & Private Sector Advocacy at the Persons of the Year (POTY) 2026 Awards, organised by African Leadership Magazine (UK).
This nomination recognises Mr Mathe’s leadership in strengthening structured engagement between the private sector and government on South Africa’s most pressing economic policy challenges. Under his stewardship, BUSA has enhanced its policy research and advocacy capacity, promoting evidence-based dialogue on energy reform, infrastructure, regulatory efficiency, and inclusive economic growth.
The AFRICAN Leadership Award for Excellence highlights leaders whose work reinforces the private sector’s role as a constructive partner in national development and sound economic governance.
